Fundraising changes the world for the better. It changes the lives of beneficiaries and the lives of donors. We help charities to strengthen their fundraising, to empower their trustees, staff and volunteers to deliver amazing results.

Fundraising Works Ltd was established  by Liz Haigh-Reeve MCIOF. Liz is an award winning fundraiser with over 25 year's experience. During her career she has built and developed fundraising teams to achieve extraordinary results. She has led many capital appeals and helped organisations grow and deliver amazing services that transform lives. Liz is also co-chair of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Special Interest Group for consultants as well as being a grant assessor for a major national children's charity.

Fundraising Works is all about supporting charities in achieving their dreams. Liz and a team of talented and passionate Associates can provide solution driven expertise and practical support for organisations of all sizes. Our aim is to help charities reach their goals in a cost effective and smart way. It’s not just a job – we really care about giving great value and helping our clients succeed, we know the impact they have and that’s what drives us. We work really hard for our clients and they trust us because we are honest, straight forward and fair. Associates

Scott Reeve (Chief Operating Officer) 

Scott keeps the wheels of the company turning smoothly behind the scenes so Liz and her team of associates can dedicate their time to making a positive difference for our clients.

He has over 25 years’ experience working in the commercial sector leading sales and marketing teams to deliver consistently outstanding results. He has worked with corporate giants and ‘from the ground up start ups’. Scott is a relationship manager through and through. His core expertise is in customer development and strategic planning. Here is a guy who knows the importance of a good CRM system and how it can help you grow income.

Liz Tootell

Liz specialises in trusts and volunteer board fundraising with extensive experience in health, disability and children and young people’s sectors. Since her career started in 2001 she has raised in excess of £35m for projects providing urgent help to some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Her proudest moment is raising £25m from the Big Lottery Fund for Drink Wise Age Well, helping people over the age of 50 affected by alcohol use.

Liz has led teams at NSPCC/ChildLine (2005-2013) and Addaction (2013-2016). She has extensive experience of developing fundraising strategy, major giving and capital appeals. and supporting teams, developing and stewarding relationships with donors, senior volunteers and partners.

Ruth Fawcett

Ruth has over 16 year's experience within fundraising and income generation for charities and not-for-profits.  Experienced within capital, project and core funding Ruth has worked for numerous charities, normally focussing on small to medium charities.  Specialisms include; fundraising strategies and major gift fundraising, incorporating; major donors; charitable trusts and corporate fundraising. 

 

Recent work includes; supporting a small charity with a strategy to raise £4,000,000 and doubling the voluntary income of a medium- sized charity.  Ruth is also co-chair of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Consultants special interest group and trustee of a grant making charity, providing a unique insight into both the management and dispersal of charitable funds and actual fundraising.

Dean Lesser

Dean has over 15 years’ experience in the charity sector including several fundraising disciplines with a focus on Trusts and Foundations and Major Donors. He has worked with a number of great charities including  those supporting people with disabilities, medical research, child health, education and international development with a proven track record of increasing levels of income from existing, lapsed and new donors.

Dean has successfully raised funds for capital appeals, received donations from High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts, overseas foundations, the National Lottery and won tenders from local councils. He has personally raised in excess £5m for the causes he has worked with.

Lisa Northey-Dennis

Lisa has over 16 years of experience in the charity and education sectors, working as a senior level fundraiser across Trust and Foundations, Statutory (including extensive European tenders), Corporate and large scale Events fundraising.

 

Lisa has significant experience in developing and delivering on capital appeals, including the completion of  £5 million STEM Centre for Brockenhurst College and contributing to the fit out of a £7 million STEAM Centre for Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth.

Samantha Sherratt

Samantha is a proactive and energetic fundraiser. Her considerable experience, ranging from national campaigning organisations to local hands-on charities, means she has an extensive fundraising skillset. She has very strong experience of hospital fundraising working with a number of hospital charities.

 

She excels in individual giving, with particular focus on legacy, in memory giving, digital, lotteries, appeals and regular giving. Samantha loves creating warm and engaging stewardship journeys, but she’s equally at home supporting charities with trusts and foundation fundraising, corporate and community, and major donors. Also skilled in strategic planning, stakeholder management, communications and marketing, Samantha brings all round expertise to our clients.

Emma Scullion

Emma is a relationship marketing and communications consultant with a passion for connecting people to causes they care about.

 

With over 20 years experience in the sector working with the likes of ActionAid, Royal London Society for Blind People, All We Can, Breast Cancer Care, Help For Heroes, Anthony Nolan, VSO, Doctors Of The World alongside running her own overseas development charity Awamu.

 

She has in-depth knowledge and expertise in Direct Marketing, high value, new product development, strategy and planning, programme delivery and project management in addition to writing and producing content.

 

She has a proven record of achieving and exceeding targets, she’s worked in conflict zones and thrives under pressure!

Steff de Simone

Steff has 16 years’ experience of working in the charity sector working both agency and client side, she specialises mainly in Digital and Direct Marketing. She also has project managed setting up lotteries, premium SMS, donor stewardship, in-house street fundraising and fundraising events. Her background includes many Client Services Management roles as well as Head of Supporter Relations at Royal Society for Blind Children.
